How To Configure System Settings

Introduction

The purpose of this guide is to show how to configure System Settings on the Enactor Estate Manager and POS.

This guide covers the configuration of the following areas:

  • Purging Rules - configuring automated data purge schedules and retention policies
  • Service Definitions - defining and managing Enactor services and their parameters
  • Log Alerts - setting up alerts based on log events and conditions
  • Field Validators - configuring validation rules for data entry fields across the system

Prerequisites

Resources

Before starting, you should have the following resources in place:

  • Enactor Estate Manager
  • Enactor POS (configured within the UK Region, connected to the Estate Manager)
  • Standard Configuration, including:
    • Base Configuration
    • UK Retail (or other regional config packs)
    • Retail Segment pack (e.g. UK Fashion)

Prior Training/Experience

You should be familiar with the following:

  • Estate Manager configuration
  • Enactor configuration concepts, including Locations, POS Terminals etc.
  • Data broadcasting
  • Standard POS Sales processes
