Day One Introduction

This guide covers Day One of the Introduction to Integration training course. Day One focuses on Master Data Integration, covering data architecture, broadcasting and system updates, the Enactor approach to integration, and master data integration design.

The guide includes course objectives, a two-day overview, and session content for each topic. Day Two covers Transactional Integration including messaging queues, transactional data flow, and API services.

Objectives

The purposes of the course are:

  • To demonstrate the techniques and utilities available for integration with the Enactor solution within a Retail Estate
  • To explain the key data structures used for inbound master data integration and outbound transaction and event data integration
  • To explain and demonstrate the APIs available for real-time integration with Enactor

At the end of the course, you should:

  • Plan the configuration and development work required to integrate the Enactor solution into a client's retail estate
  • Understand and be able to explain the techniques and tools available for integration with the Enactor solution
  • Understand the sources of information available to provide examples and reference documentation on which to base integration designs and development
  • Understand the scope and principles of Enactor API integration
